On September 9, 2026, at the Pham Ngoc Thach Hall, the National Institute of Nutrition (Ministry of Health) and Mastertran Joint Stock Company held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The event marked an important first step toward a long-term partnership in scientific research, professional capacity building, and nutrition and health education for the community.

Representing the National Institute of Nutrition were Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Duong, PhD, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition; Nguyen Song Tu, PhD, Head of the Department of General Planning; and representatives from the Institute’s departments and specialized units. Representing Mastertran Joint Stock Company were Mr. Tran Minh Thao, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Assoc. Prof. Tran Dac Phu, PhD - Chairman of the Doppelherz Vietnam Scientific Advisory Council; members of the Scientific Advisory Council; representatives of Queisser Pharma; and journalists from various media organizations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Duong, PhD emphasized that, amid the growing double burden of malnutrition and the increasing need for disease prevention, stronger collaboration between a leading professional institution and the private sector represents a practical and timely approach. He stressed that the partnership should maximize the respective strengths of both sides while maintaining scientific rigor, practical relevance, and full compliance with applicable regulations, with public health remaining the central priority.
At the event, Mr. Tran Minh Thao expressed Mastertran’s honor in partnering with one of the Ministry of Health’s leading professional institutions. He affirmed the company’s commitment to allocating appropriate resources to support scientific initiatives and to helping bring evidence-based, practical nutrition knowledge closer to Vietnamese families.
With the shared goal of promoting sustainable health, the cooperation agreement establishes a framework for joint action in several key areas, including evidence-based research, professional training, and nutrition communication aimed at supporting positive behavior change. During the ceremony, representatives and experts from both sides also exchanged views on potential implementation pathways, with priority given to solutions that respond closely to real-world needs.
The partnership is expected to help optimize the resources and professional strengths of both organizations while laying the foundation for nutrition education and health promotion programs with broader community reach and practical impact.
