là phụ nữ có thai ở hai xã nông thôn miền Bắc nhằm tìm hiểu những quan niệm
đương thời về hình thể của người phụ nữ và những ảnh hưởng đến hành vi dinh dưỡng
của họ. Hành vi dinh dưỡng của phụ nữ nông thôn Việt Nam, nơi là các giá trị truyền thống
vẫn được bảo lưu đan xen với cuộc sống hiện đại là một chủ đề đáng quan tâm
nghiên cứu nhằm tạo được cách tiếp cận chăm sóc tốt nhất cho nhóm đối tượng
này. Đối với những phụ nữ nông thôn, trước khi kết hôn, hình thể là sự hấp dẫn
về ngoại hình, thì sau khi kết hôn đó lại là khả năng lao động, vẻ đẹp bên
trong hay sự gọn gàng sạch sẽ của người phụ nữ. Khi có thai, quan niệm về hình
thể lại thiên về hướng những khó chịu do thay đổi hình dáng cơ thể, hơn là quan
tâm đến béo hay gầy. Hành vi dinh dưỡng và những quan niệm về hình thể của họ
có liên quan chặt chẽ với nhau.
English summary: Nutrition
behaviour of women living in rural Vietnam, where traditional values
are preserved in the modern life, is a topic that is worth to research on to
enable their access to good care. Nutrition behaviour and their perception of
body image are closely linked. A qualitative study was conducted in 2 rural
communes of North Vietnam
to explore contemporary perception of women body image and potential impacts on
their nutrition care behaviour. The results showed that before marriage, body
image was the attractiveness of the appearance, but after marriage it is the
capacity to work, inner beauty or the tidiness and clean of the women. During
pregnancy, the perception of body image was prone to the discomfort ability of
body changes rather than concern on being fat or thin. The criteria of being
fat or thin seemed to be under the cut off point of international standards.
The subjects seemed to be more acceptable for what they have/are rather than
urging for changes.
